Before John Williams became famous as the man behind the
soundtrack to Star Wars he was Johnny Williams, a jazz musician.
In a fun and tounge-in-cheek homage to the man and his music the various
scores to the Sta Wars music are redone to a big band,
finger-snapping lounge setting. The result is a little mind-boggling but
loads of fun. Although it's a bit repetitive near the end the music is
fun throughout. The main theme is good but the true prize here is the Imperial
March which is reminiscent of Sing Sing Sing (I know, just take my word on it)
This is definitely not for rabid Star Wars loyalists, you have to have a
sense of humor. If you think Hardware Wars was a sacrilege then skip this and
spend your money on more Phantom Menace merchandise.
On the other hand if you like funky curios, swing/jazz music and/or
Star Wars you might well get a kick out of this.
