Review by Ken 4 stars out of 4
The Crow sequel was an unthinkable disaster, but its soundtrack is almost
spellbinding. Almost every track here is a winner- from the hardcore
aggression of Korn's 'Sean Olson' and Deftones' 'Teething' to the industrial
frenzy of Filter's 'Jurassitiol' and White Zombie's 'I'm Your Boogieman',
this soundtrack has something for everyone. And there's surprises aplenty-
such as the breathtaking Bush track 'In a Lonely Place'; which utterly
mesmerizes with its unexpected atmospheric beauty and wailing, gothic-like
sadness. And 'Paper Dress' from The Toadies is nothing less than a superb
hard rock song with deliciously sinister riffs and creepy lyrics. Adding
further diversity to this rock/metal- dominated release is the inclusion of
2 enthralling rap songs- 'Tonite Is a Special Nite' by the dueling combo of
Tricky Vs. The Gravedigazz and 'City Of Angels' by Above The Law featuring
Frost. With music this good, who cares that the movie sucked so bad?
