Review by SarahG 4 stars out of 4
The movie GO, directed by Doug Liman (Swingers) gives a look into the
fast paced day of a drug deal gone bad. The stars of the movie
include Dawson's Creek's Katie Holmes, Armageddon's William Fichtner,
and The Sweet Hereafter's Sarah Polley. GO is intensified with
an amazing underscoring of popular music in styles that range from Fatboy
Slim's "Gangster Tripping" techno to Natalie Imbruglia's energized vocals
in Troubled by the Way We Came Together. The album begin's with No
Doubt's first single "New" and continues to a favorite of mine, the 1999
remix of Steppenwolf's "Magic Carpet Ride." The blood pumping beats that
carry through the album left me begging for more. Similar to soundtracks
from The Matrix and the newly released Mission Impossible 2. These
electrified soundtracks snap you from reality into the rocket world of
these action packed films. "Go" out an get it.
