Don Henley's first studio album in eleven years proves conclusively
that he is one of the greatest politally minded singer/songwriters that
the U.S. has offered up over the past century. But underneath all that
cynicism and anger lies a tender side, and shows through on this album,
too. Don't look for any smash hits here, as none of these marathon songs
seems sutable for the radio other than the one cheesy one they're playing
on the light rock stations. These songs are too good for the radio, and
I'm sure that this album will be treasured by fans across the country.
Welcome back Don, next time don't go away for so long.
