Review by JaredD 4 stars out of 4
I started listening to Billy Bragg about three or four weeks ago,
and Reaching to the Converted (the third Bragg album I've acquired),
has already moved right up into mytop five favorites. Bragg's lyrics are
really something. When you take the time necessary to give his songs a
good listen, you'll understand what I mean. There's really not one
loser in the bunch, but here's what I would have to say were the top five:
1. "Sulk"
2. "Accident Waiting to Happen (red star version)"
3. "Walk Away Renee (version)"
4. "Ontario, Quebec and Me"
5. "I Don't Need This Pressure Ron"
If you like this album, I'd have to say that the next best one to
get would be Talking With the Taxman About Poetry. (But like I said,
I haven't been listening very long.)
