Midtown makes their point loud and clear in their efforts to ‘save the
world’. This New Jersey power pop outfit borrows heavily from the likes
of Face To Face. Spearheaded by the strong lyrics and vocals of Gabe
Saporta, Midtown is all about the songs. “Save the World Lose the
Girl” is loaded with accessible catchy tunes like “Just Rock N Roll”,
the hooky “Direction” and the optimistic “Let Go’ with its
catchy chorus which has the ability to make you sing along. Midtown is
the kind of band that, with some perseverance, will continue to write
songs that get airplay. There is always a place for a band that
writes straightforward anthem-type punk rock songs.
