I bought the Air Hogs "Avenger" for my son on his 8th birthday yesterday. The concept looks great-- an airplane powered by air. Cool airpump to charge the plane. In execution, however, the plane falls short. The wings are a tough but breakable foam, and after 6 attempts at flight, our was damaged so badly the propeller shaft was bent irreparably. Despite following the flight instructions, ours never flew respectably and crashed 5 times out of 6. The airpump requires rigorous effort from an adult-- our 8 year old was not able to get it to the required air pressure (to be honest, it took effort for his *Dad* to) and the pump design is so lame that as it nears operating pressure, the backpressure pops the plane off the airpump nipple. A simple locking mechanism as one might find on water rockets would have solved this. The velcro that is "supposed" to lock it down fails miserably to do so. The one flight we had was no where near the "football field" claimed, and with the damage it took every attempt after that, I doubt it will fly again.

Save your money.
