Review by Tom Allen 3 Stars out of 4 (Review of Dreamcast version)
Bust a Move 4 is one of the most addictive puzzle games to hit the market in quite some time.
Acclaim joins Sega in bringing the best puzzlers to the Dreamcast this year (Sega has Chu Chu
Rocket).
With a variety of play field widths and puzzle types, the Puzzle Arcade mode is a lot of fun. All
modes involve aiming a pointer in order to shoot colored balloons into a cloud of other balloons.
Place like-colored balloons together, and they will pop. With time, the balloons will drag lower.
If they hit the ground, you're toast, so try to pop as many balloons as you can.
I love how the pointer now has a trajectory path represented with a series of dots (in easy mode
only). Now you can more accurately aim shots to bounce off the walls and land in the proper
place. The L and R buttons are perfectly used for inching the pointer left and right, while the
control pad is used for normal movement.
The pulleys, with bubbles weighing down each side, are a welcome addition to the game play, as
is the level creator. Bust a Move 4 is a great game for the whole family.
