A wise man once said, "The media giveth, and the media taketh away." Actually, it was
a wise woman: Elaine May in her screenplay, Primary Colors.
I say this because a) I'm kooky, and b) this is the Dreamcast game we can all piss on
without feeling too guilty. Well, actually, I'm a putz, because I already feel guilty for
having said that. Truth is, Dynamite Cop isn't horrible, but it just has that too-quick, too-
fast, too-thin arcade feel. This one should've stayed at the arcades.
The funny weapons (i.e. sushi) aren't that funny. If one of the weapons rhymed with
hippo, then I might have laughed. Maybe.
The game is very fast-paced, with basic punch-all game play and special moves
detailed on page 10 of the manual. The attempt at a story is fairly decent but never
rises above standard action fare. Still, I'm glad to see a game like this on the market,
because I'm just waiting for some post-Columbine jackass to complain about violence in
video games, citing this snoozer as an example.
