Kirby 64 does not live up to expectations. The game is appallingly geared to children. While
there's nothing wrong with that, I think the original NES game was able to appeal to a wider
audience.
This game is a basic side-scroller with limited platform action. Much of the time is spent
sucking enemies and pressing Down on the control pad to adopt the powers of your "food." One
enemy will give you a stone Kirby power, which allows you to walk through entire levels with
complete invincibility. No time limit. The catch is that the heavy stone causes you to walk very
slowly.
The bosses are insanely easy, so you should whip through this short game in one sitting. Kirby
64 was a long time in coming. Too bad it wasn't worth the wait.
