As the title female character Koudelka, you begin your adventure in the haunted Nemeton
Monastery in Wales, England. The story is superbly visualized with well-lit CG scenes, but
almost every minute of play outside these cinemas does not live up to that quality.
Koudelka is like a cross between Resident Evil and Front Mission 3. The battles are waged on
three-dimensional "tactical" maps. After every single attack, you are forced to move to another
block on the map (reminiscent of chess). These awkward turn-based battles become the bane of
your existence.
Standard RPG features like magic points and weapon classes (swords and guns) complete the
package.
If you can brave the unbearable battles, or render them "challenge-less" with a Game Shark, then
you will actually uncover an interesting story involving stolen Vatican items and a depressed
priest. However, that's a big "if."
