Following the release of Muppet Race Mania, Midway's Muppet Monster Adventure is a 3-D
platformer much in the vein of Spyro the Dragon. In fact, the game's colorful, sparse graphics
look almost identical to that game.
Game play consists of star collecting and earning various abilities such as climbing, swimming,
and flying. Your character's body is modified with each new power earned.
Like Spyro, the game lacks a certain charm that is so easily apparent in games like Mario. The
characters make the game come alive, but the straightforward game play doesn't pull its own
weight. With 18 levels in six worlds, Muppet Monster Adventure is a good game, but it leaves
you wanting more.
