Road Rash 64 is perfect for young players. The colorful yet muddy graphics will appeal to them,
as will the ability to hit other motorists while driving. Get out your bad-ass motorcycle attitude,
'cause you're gonna need it!
Fighting is integral to game play, much more so than previous Rash games. Drivers will actually
seek you out, hoping to knock off a racing opponent just like you.
The controls are intuitive, making excellent use of the C buttons and double-tapping. The
weapons have that been-there, done-that feel, though. Next time we should have more creative
choices like eggs, paint guns, dirty underwear, bras, road-kill, and tar and feathers.
Game play modes require some explanation. Thrash mode is where you play single races. The
multi-player mode offers Deathmatch and Pedestrian Hunt. Yes, you are rewarded for
victimizing pedestrians! Isn't it great? The Big Game mode is like a championship mode where
you compete in a series of individual races. Overall, Road Rash 64 is decent, but previous Rash
games provide about the same level of excitement.
