We have five points to make about Rollcage, the fast and furious, futuristic racer from
Psygnosis. The first three are positive. In a racing first, the track automatically changes
every time you lose a race so you're never stuck or bored. Also, you can widen camera
angles to make it easier to steer around corners. Someone really used his head to
come up with that little bit. Talk about knowing gamers' pet peeves!
The control has an intuitive layout button-wise, but the vehicles are so wild and spastic
that it's hard not to flip over or start heading the wrong way. Yes, now we've segwayed
into the negatives. Luckily, there's only one more frustration. Quite simply, the game is
too freakin' hard, even on Easy mode. You've heard it before; now you get to hear it
again. It's tough to whole-heartedly recommend a game that will likely never give you a
break. It's your call.
