TimeSplitters is the PS2's Perfect Dark. Of course, the game doesn't even come close to the
depth of that title, but it has plenty to offer. The story mode is short and easy to beat, but the
meat of the game exists in the multi-player section.
Here, you can have up to four human players and ten robotic assistants. Weapons and settings
vary greatly, thanks to the game's time-travel theme. Also, if you get bored with the game, you
can use the map editor to design your own levels.
Overall, though, I have to say this game is a bit of a cliché. The zombie enemies are a creative
cop-out. My biggest complaint, however, lies in the graphics. The textures are too uniform in
appearance, and the poorly done lighting effects result in broad, bland areas of color. The
graphics may be crisp, but I wouldn't classify them as terribly artistic.
