Bond games always follow their respective movies by at least a year. The World Is Not Enough
was a 1999 theatrical release; the game arrived in fall of 2000.
The game lives up to GoldenEye quality in the sound department, and other similarities are
apparent. For instance, it's ridiculous that so many enemies need to pumped full of lead even at
close range.
Since this is an action game, it would have been nice if all weapons and items were selectable
from the game screen. Instead, you have to pause the action and select objects from the
inventory screen from time to time.
Unfortunately, this entire game can not escape comparison to GoldenEye 007. Rare's game is
superior for its graphics, game play, and multi-player modes. The World Is Not Enough can not
compete in any of these categories. While the game sticks closely to its license, it just doesn't
capture the gamer's heart.
