Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare

You know, if New Line was going to kill Freddy off once and for all, why didn't they at least give the creative team a bigger budget to play with? As it is, the movie looks cheap and the effects are pathetic. Storywise, we find out a little bit more about Freddy's origins, but it's nothing that's thrilling enough to get hardcore Nightmare fans drooling. Hell, Freddy doesn't even seem funny anymore- most of his wisecracks just come off as limp. Also, some pointless cameos by Alice Cooper and Roseanne Barr do nothing to add excitement. The final scene where Freddy bites it is filmed in 3-D, but seeing as how the movie had sucky, C-grade FX to begin with; seeing them in 3-D doesn't really do jack. So is Freddy finally dead?
