This movie may not have been the blockbuster follow-up to THE BLAIR WITCH
PROJECT that Artisan Entertainment was hoping for, but it still made a
small profit thanks to the microscopic budget it was made for. Kevin Bacon
plays your everyday-type Joe Average who was enjoying a pretty normal
existence right up to the minute he agrees to participate in a seance.
After that, he begins to have creepy visions of a dead girl who's
desperately trying to tell him a terrible secret - one that is hidden
within the walls of his own home. Although not really effective in the
scares and suspense department, the movie does have a reasonably intriguing
plot that compels you to continue watching it. And Kevin Bacon puts in
a fine-if strained - performance of a broken man struggling to unravel
the meaning behind the haunting visions plaguing his life.
